Getting old is no picnic

When we are young, we do not even think that in a few years, we will get older and each year adds more and more traces of time on our skin, face, body, energy, spirit, etc. This continues until the death and there is no way to avoid it. The natural cycle is birth, life, and death. Birth is associated with youth and childhood, life with middle age and death is oldness.
From the first years of our life, adults teach us to respect the adults and especially old people. Old people become weaker and they need our help. That is why it is necessary to let your sit in the bus and to help a granny to carry her packet to the house, to help the old man if he is feeling bad. Be kinder and take care of your granny and grandpa because old people like no others feel themselves unnecessary and useless. They need your love and support as well as a lot of care and tenderness; they are worth it.
Old age is always associated with wisdom. In some languages, these notions are synonyms or even have the one term to name both notions. And really when a person has spent all his/her life, he/she usually got the certain experience using which he/she is able to give you a piece of advice which you will never find even in the most clever book and during any consultation with any expert and any psychologist.
Wisdom was the reason why old people were elected as elders in ancient tribes and cultures. People thought that only old people have the right to advise something because they are the only one that are supposed to be the most experienced and it means the wisest.
Have you noticed that all ancient things are extreme valued? It happens because these things are our past and this past can't be bought cheaply. This past has the possibility to tell us about our origins and about our ancestors. In addition, old people are the witnesses of our past that keep the memories and such information that can't be found in any historical sources. There are still people the old ones that were the witnesses of World War II, revolutions, etc. Such people must be honoured and respected, as they are also valuable. Then the strange thing happens: ancient things are treated with more respect than old people are. In such way, things are more valuable than human being is.
This site is about old age and old people. It was created to honour the old age. After all, once all of us will become old. That is why treat old people as you would like to be treated when you are old.
